- TITLE: Importing Early Version Manuscript Files Into Ami Pro
- PRODUCT: Ami Pro 2.0, 3.0
- DATE: 26-Aug-92
-
- PROBLEM:
-
- How can Manuscript files created under versions previous to Manuscript 2.1 be
- imported into Ami Pro?
-
- SOLUTION:
-
- One workaround is to open the older Manuscript files under Manuscript version
- 2.1 and resave them under this version. These files can be imported into Ami
- Pro using the Manuscript filter.
-
- If Manuscript 2.1 is not available, use the Document Conversion Utility option
- in Manuscript, if available. Convert the files to DCA Revisable format.
- Check your Manuscript manual to determine which Manuscript features convert to
- DCA Revisable format. Import the files into Ami Pro using the Ami Pro DCA/RFT
- filter. Check your Ami Pro User's Guide to determine which DCA features
- import into Ami Pro.
-
- HOW TO IMPORT DCA FILES INTO AMI PRO
-
- 1. Load Ami Pro.
- 2. Select File / Open.
- 3. Choose "DCA/RFT" from the "List of file types" scroll box.
- 4. Type the path and DCA filename in the "Filename" edit box. For example,
- C:\MANUSCRIPT\FILENAME.DCA.
- 5. Choose OK.
- 6. The DCA converted Manuscript file will be imported into Ami Pro.
